I am going to go ahead and put on my flame suit and say that this sounds like garbage and makes no sense.

It “sounds like garbage” because its a 2 stroke. They all sound similar to this and it is music, especially when its not at idle.

I too am not a 2 stroke fan. I understand the appeal of, what, 150HP/liter? It definitely sounds like an angry leaf blower, though.

well now, doesnt that just make the tail light TOTALLY useless?

If you are looking for common sense and reason you are on the wrong website.

any 1/2 decent 4 stroke street bike with get that these days...

I’m not looking for it. but usually there is quite a lot of it on here.

Eh, the fact that it’s a two stroke kind of ruins it for me. Guess I’ve spent to many saturdays cleaning out the carbs on my leaf blower over the years.

Looks good to me. I would love to know how much power he's getting out of it.

This is a forum statement from the owners son. (forgive the grammar I believe they are Norwegian)
Its over 100hp atleast in it now. 88hp original. He got new carburators and theyre not right tuned. He shall buy new needles to them and find one that fits. So it runs much smoother.
Drivin performance he says its great! He have also a R6 and he took a ride with the RD and right after he took a ride with the r6. He says the special parts on the RD really does something! Then the RD is much lighter than the R6 aswell...

Looks like a very fun project. It would be great to see it once its dialed in. What was the source of the engine?

I have no idea it’s just something I stumbled on on facebook then started doing some digging to find more info on it.
This so far is all I found on it.

I friggin love 2 strokes! That has to be a frightful thing to ride.

2 strokes are the best strokes!

Those diaphragm carbs on tiny 2-strokes are completely different things from those used on motorbikes or really any other sort of 2-stroke.
![]() 11/10/2015 at 19:19 |

True, but fuel for two strokes will lead to more maintenance being required then a 4 stroke would.

How so? About the only think I can think of is decarbonizing the exhaust every few years, but that’s about it.
